Poorly Poggle. Leaning Like Drunk

Hi, my guinea pig Poggle (male) has been in the wars.
He has already had a course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory for a poorly front leg, which seems much better (don't know whether it was broken/ dislocated/sprained). The antibiotics were because there were slim signs of infection. He went to the vets twice and they signed him off.

Now he has gone all quiet, not eating much (this is what is worrying me, because you usually can't fill him and he's really chatty) and when he is just standing there, he's leaning to the left slightly then repositioning himself (like a drunk person would). We let him run round freely on an evening and he normally runs round for a mad half hr and settles under his fave recliner chair, but the last two nights he's not been waiting to get out and even took himself back to bed last night.

Anyone any ideas? It's emergency only at the vets at this time, I'm worried about him but I'm not sure it is an emergency.

It is not quite an emergency unless his breathing is affected or he stops eating but it is important he is seen tomorrow. He may have an ear infection which can cause a head tilt. Treatment would be with a course of antibiotics. He would also need probiotics at least an hour after each dose.

Other possibilites are E-Cuniculli or a stroke. It is also possible that it could be dental related or neurological.

Poggle had been to the vets and they've prescribed antibiotics and anti inflammatory. She was quite honest and said she didn't really know, but to try this first. We are in a vets that had multiple branches in the local area and she's told us which is the best bet for guineas at which branch to go to of he doesn't improve.
He looks so drunk, he's worse than yesterday but he's at least eaten tonight.

Which antibiotics have you been given? Do you have probiotics?

Hi Helen,
Antibiotics are 8xBaytril 2.5%, and yes we are adding probiotic powder to his food to help his tummy recover. (he doesn't drink much to add it to the water because he gets so much fresh veg).
He is so much better - he was so sluggish, quiet and not himself. Today he's been running round like the mad wiggle he is and won't shut up chuntering. I'm so much happier. He's going back to the vets on Wednesday, to the exotic specialist to see if we need to continue with the meds. The only issue is now he's feeling better, he really doesn't like taking his medicine.

Are you putting it on the food at least an hour after the Baytril? It can also be given by syringe too. Glad you aren't putting it in his water as it is not that effective that way.

So pleased he is brighter and fighting the syringe is a good sign even if it does make things difficult.

We didn't do time specified probiotic, just on his crunchies.
He's off the meds but still on the probiotic. The vet thinks everything related to vitamin C deficiency.

Please help!
Hi all, Poggs had been doing ok, but he is back on the antibiotics but the other night he had a fit, well that the best way to describe it, and has had a couple since. We have of course been to the vets but we're all at a bit of a loss. It has been said it could be result of being contaminated with EC but we don't know what to do. If people could look at this attached video and anyone who has any ideas please help. It is so painful to watch. He he now also not eating much which is definitely not like him. To be on the safe side he is being treated for EC, a worming drug so no harm. Our searches on the internet haven't lead to much and the one we have found hasn't had a good outcome.
