Hello I’m confused on what to believe with my guinea pigs poop. One of them has perfect color and size and the other is light brown sometimes small sometimes with a tail. I fed them cucumbers because I read it was dehydration and I’m afraid that will make him bloated. I found oooo in the cage that was super long and dark so I wonder if that was from the cucumber? He’s kind of bloated so I’m worried on hydrating him with cucumber considering it causes bloat, or does it not?
I don’t want to take him into thevet because He’s eating and drinking and still pooping but they are very light, some have dark and light spots mixed.
please help me understand what to do so I don’t make things worse....

A poo with a pointed tail is one indication of a slightly/beginnings of an upset tummy. So you have to take the culprit off all fresh veg for two days. If it’s still not normal then I would take him back to the vet. Too much cucumber (or other watery veg) can also trigger runny/soft poos.

Okay that is good to know, because of them being dry and light brown will that take a lot of nutrients away that he needs by not giving him veggies?

As long as he’s still eating hay (and pellets) he should be fine. Poop output is 1-2 days delayed - as in what’s eaten today will come out the other end after 1-2 days.

Thank you so much for responding to me. I appreciate it more than you know...

That’s ok, it’s what the forum is here for 😚
Please add your location so info is more tailored in future.

PS we LOVE pigtures 😉 you can always start a thread for your boys in the guinea pig chat section.

I’m so glad. It’s very helpful when running into situations, especially hearing from others who know more about guinea pigs.
Ok, wonderful! Where do I add location?
And where is the chat?
