Sadly, my feisty, energetic busybody Mali has very unexpectedly made her way to join her best cataract mates Tegyd and Taffy at the Rainbow Bridge yesterday afternoon.

Mali/Nala arrived here, aged 5, in November 2012 as an emergency after she failed to integrate with the Milhaven rescue herd after her previous loving owners sadly had to hand her back to the rescue and she'd lost her companion. It took me about a month to settle her in and the bonding was not for the faint-hearted, but once Mali realised that all the new piggies had the same eye issue as her, she happily became Tegyd's faithful sidekick and devoted her time to staying young in mind, no matter how old her body grew!

Only two days ago, she'd discovered a new loop around the hay gazebo to happily waddle-zoom around, following her nose and whiskers, bump into her new best friend Iola just for fun and pull out the newspaper from the hay tray...

Mali must have been near 8 years old and she has had the best retirement I could give her. No regrets, but lots of sadness at no longer having this little lady with her huge zest for life around!

What a lovely tribute Wiebke - you obviously loved Mali very much.

I'm so sorry to hear that she has passed over the Rainbow Bridge. Popcorn free little one.
 
Oh no, I am so sorry Wiebke, what an awful shock. She was such a gorgeous girl and enjoyed her golden years with you and her friends. She will leave a huge hole. Massive hugs x x

I was and still am very saddened to hear of Mali's passing. She could quite easily have passed for a much younger sow when I had a cuddle with her just a few weeks ago.

She was a very special and lucky piggy indeed.

RIP Mali now you can see once again and popcorn thru the lush green meadows with your dear friends. You'll be so very sadly missed by your lovely mummy and your buddies and so many on here but never ever forgotten.

What a lovely tribute to Mali and a great video of her doing her little zoomies. I'm sure she had a wonderful life with you and her new found friends.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss of Mali. May the feisty one run free over the bridge and share some green spaghetti with her friends. Sending you hugs at this difficult time.

Wiebke I'm so sorry for your loss, I understand this is such a difficult and sad time when a furry family member passes away, It's obvious to see you've brought so much love and happiness into one another's life and Mali was extremely fortunate to be a part of such a close and loving family, nobody could've given Mali what you did, you've done an exceptional job, she looks so comfortable and happy in her pictures and video, such an exceptional Piggie.

I am so so sorry to read of this. Mali was amazing! The video of her zoomies is beautiful. I know that you will miss her, but I really hope that the wonderful memories will comfort you.
 
Sorry only just checked milhaven site this evening and saw your post..huge hugs go out to you...she looked like a lovely,cuddly handful and just shows that blind piggies can live a very full life...with just a little bit of help cxxx
