Hi,
Bo and Martha have now been with us for about 2 weeks. They both have settled down and Martha is getting used to being touched. Bo has always been very friendly. Since yesterday every time I go near the fridge Bo seems to throw, which I can only describe fit. She shoots through the cage and makes jerky movements. I thought popcorning would look more like her jumping in the air? Is she excited and thinks she is getting food? Or have I got a "special needs pig"?
Monika ?/

No you have a popcorner - every piggy does it differently, some like to run more, others jump, twist or - literally - bounce of the wall, or twist on their backs...

Happy you! :)):)):))

Popcorning, thats what she's doing your piggie isn't special needs they want their veggies! :(|)

I was confused by my guinea pig doing it last night, it was like a fit, I've seen him popcorn a few times, Leo only popcorned as a baby and stopped when he got older, Africa pop corns rarely and he's been depressed lately due to Leos death but last night he was at the bottom of my bed and ran towards me at a super fast rate and did this crazy body bend flip! I wasn't completely watching because I was reading a book to him and it freaked me out but then watching him again I do believe he was popcorning =] they look like their crazy with happiness I guess. ^_^ I wonder if he liked the book.

Those are some happy piggies you have! :(|)

They all do it in their own special way but I guess that means they all have their own way of saying "I'M SO EXCITED!" rolleyes
