hi I know I havent got my piggies yet but I have been reding all your posts to learn all I can and my question is what is popcorning please,is it a call or something?")
 
Popcorning is what piggies do when they're happy and excited. They run around madly, jumpand flip their back legs up. You could try looking on youtube for videos of them doing it. Hope this answers your question.
 
As scpiggy said popcorning is what piggies do when they're very happy and excited! A sort of jump/flip on the spot usually in the middle of zooming around and wheeking! It's fun to watch and lovely to know that they're happy pigs :))
 
It is so heart warming to see them jump around all excitedly and happily! Mine were popcorning around this morning when I put their fleece tunnel back in their cage after a wash. They were in and out of it and the tunnel was jumping in the air!

Am I right in thinking that it is usually younger piggies that popcorn and older ones do not popcorn as much if at all?

I think that's right :) Younger pigs (as with people!) have more energy and less weight to fling themselves around :)) My younger girls are always zooming and popcorning when their fleece is changed or it's food time :) Although the more they've been doing it even most my old girls join in now too xx>>> I agree, it's very heartwarming to watch, I'm always sitting just watching them play :)
 
My two girls Bonnie and Lottie popcorn all the time and its just brilliant to see.

They do it when they are fed and especially when fresh hay is coming, they also do it when I have cleaned their cage out-I could watch them all day! :(|)
