Hi All,

I have noticed that occasionally if poppy is in the house or the cuddle cup and pebbles goes near it poppy will do a long deep sounding purr- now i assume this is poppy telling pebbles to go away!

But sometimes poppy will do it when she is out in the open in the cage and pebbles goes near her she will do it- but then she does a popcorn straight after so i can't work out if it is to with her telling pebbles not to come with or if it something else, but it can't mean something bad if she then popcorns can it?!

Has anyone else seen this and what do they think- i'm just asking out of curiosity really!

Isn't that what they call rumbling?
I forget what it means exactly. I think it can mean a few things, depending on when they do it :x but don't take my word for it. I always forget about this.

My boys do the same thing, though. They wriggle their little bums and make a purring noise at each other and then they popcorn away :(|)

I always thought it was to do with dominance and things like that.
Again. Not overly sure. I might be getting muddled again :{

It's not just mine then lol, i just found it odd that she did it then popcorned- they do the strangest things don't they :(|)

It's funny what you notice, i do find that i watch alot less T.V as i find myself sitting there trance like just watching them go about their business :))

OH and i thought it might be dominance but poppys always the first to run off, never comes up to me until after Pebbles, though Poppy does occasionally nick pebbles food. Though Pebbles is usually the one to push Poppy out the house or cuddle cup or away from food. It's almosst like they are both being dominant but neither is dominant over the other maybe?

I would that that Pebbles is the dominant - first choice of housing and food. The dominant piggy is not necessarily the more courageous or cuddly one.

Maybe Pebbles is more dominant then- it's hard to tell really as they both have their moments. I suppose though the main thing is that they get on and play together- they love running through tunnells following each other- it's sooo cute :)

I'm glad i'm not the only one who sits and watches my pigs....!rolleyes

It's crazy isn't it- i don't usually sit still for long but i just can't help it with the piggies- i could watch them all night lol.

Same here! :(|)

They're great fun to watch. And times like these are when you catch them in the act of over-turning pigloos and food bowls {:| they can be such trouble makers.
