Poppy was one of the residents at my local guinea pig rescue. She was a very sweet-natured six year old Agouti girl and lived with her companion Daisy. She was earmarked to go and live at our guinea pig 'retirement home' but sadly she very suddenly became ill and went to the rainbow bridge before she reached her forever home. During the daily checks today a volunteer noticed that she was not very responsive, very lethargic. Her heartbeat was very feint. We put the water bottle in front of her and she took a few sips and tried to take a few bites of lettuce. We gave her some medicine and put her in a snuggle sack on a heat pad, and gently stroked her which seemed to comfort her. Sadly within a couple of hours she had gone to the bridge, but at least she didn't have to suffer too long. Please keep Poppy in your thoughts. Goodbye Poppy, I will miss you and never forget you. x

I’m sorry to hear that Poppy has gone over the Rainbow Bridge.
Will be thinking of her but know that she will be meeting so many of our little friends there so will be well looked after there too. X
 
Ahhh sorry to hear Poppy’s passed over to the rainbow bridge. Popcorn free little one. You’ll be missed.
