These two beautiful pups were stillborn but their presence touched my heart even so. I am so sorry I will never see you grow and chase your mum and hold you. Have fun at Rainbow Bridge little ones!image.webp

Oh little ones, I am so sorry you never got to see the world. Sweet dreams.
 
So sorry that they didn't make it. Heartbreaking for you and for their mum. Thoughts are with you.
 
I am ever so sorry that these two beautiful babies never got to take a breath and see the world - so close and yet so far!

Ohh I cried :'( The good thing is that they never will have suffered, or been aware of it. Popcorn away mini pigs x
 
So sad...i'm so sorry they didnt make it! Is Poppy doing well? Does this sort of thing happen often with guinea pigs? If you don't mind, may i ask how old Poppy is and was this her first litter and how big was her litter? I'm really nervous as i have 3 pregnant sows out of lack of proper care here at our local pet store and i'm not sure if i have the courage/heart to face a loss of any pups or worst of all any of my sows! Thank you.
 
@CaymanCavy - one of my sows (Celeste) had a single pup at the age of just 4 months, and he was stillborn. However in this case it was a straightforward case of their previous owner linebreeding a few Shelties for their short face, and sadly this minipig had a very deformed face and could not live. I am mentioning this in a positive light however as she also had a couple of sisters and half sisters who were in the same position, and all minipigs who were born have lived and appear healthy! I may be being presumptuous but I think it is not often stillborns happen. Celeste is very happy and healthy now. I hope all your ladies deliver safely!

Best of luck to Poppy and her recovery as well. She will get better in time x

Thank you for your reply...i'll make sure to keep everyone posted on thier progress and delivery. Dott is supposed to give birth within the next 2 weeks and the vet confirmed that she is pregnant with at least 2 pups! I'm nervous because i havent had her long, she is only about 3/4 months old and she hasnt even warmed up to my fully yet and now this! I've started having breakouts of dyshidrosis eczema on my finger due to mental stress! But i'll do my best to make sure they have all they need!
