until she reaches 1 kilo! Who would ever have thought it!

She now has her teeth done fortnightly, and although they still need a little work done on one side only, she is gaining weight rapidly. She's now almost twice the size she was this time last year, when her weight plummeted to below 600g.

She no longer follows me around, as she did when she relied on me for all her feeding, in fact she runs (very, very fast) in the opposite direction! LOL

Well done Pops and the biggest thanks ever to Simon Maddock of the Cat and Rabbit Clinic, Northampton.

WELL DONE POPS POSSUM xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>

Whee are all very very proud that you've continued on your munching way :)
Keep eating that hay sweetie pie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh and by the way Pops, next time that person (aka *.S) says you're fat, do a big poops on him :(|) Loves Mummy Glynis xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (the girls told me to say that rolleyes)

Oh my giddy aunt - what a little superstar she is!

She's an amazing pig. Just goes to show how winning a combination it is to have a determined pig, a dedicated owner and a superb vet.

Way to go Pops!

that is wonderful news!
well done to both of you :)

I bet you never thought you'd be so happy to have a piggy not follow you around lol :))

It was so special when she followed me. She would even jump out of her cage and stand at the bottom of the stairs shouting for food. She would wake me in the night for a feed too! We got such a close bond during this time, but it's so lovely to see her acting like a normal guinea pig now. This is how it should be! I love the fact that she's gone back to being the stroppy little madam who likes her own way and even bit me a few weeks ago because I tried to put her back into her cage! :))

awwww that sounds so cute!
I know what you mean about the bonding, when Jennifer was relying on me, she loved me getting her out and lounging around on me waiting to be fed, I felt so close to her and now she's more independent than ever and forget lounging on me, she bolts all over the place! :))

I do miss her being like that but in the same respect I love the fact that she's so much better and can be her old self again :)

When you get so close to them, they always remain that extra bit special!

Good Pops! Congratulations!
What a special day for you! :)):)):))

I thought I'd have a look in too see whether she has - and yes, here it is!

It is never easy when we have to relinquish part of that special bond that we have created. However, it will be always there and is just going dormant.

How deep it can run I witnessed when Dizzy reached out to her (much loved) previous mummy when she was dying, more than two years after they seen each other!
