Weighed the piggies yesterday and much to my horror found that Yoshi had gained 75g! In a week! EeeeeK! He now weighs in at 1400g. Moonpig seems to be gaining too but not as fast 1260g. They all get fed the same but Wallace is a respectable and steady 1200g and I don't think he moves around as much as Yoshi and Moonpig ( they're all middle aged ) so I'm not sure it's an exercise issue ( anyway, how do you make a lazy pig exercise?! ). Could it be middle-age spread?! @)
Rocket has gained weight in the last week too but being 3 months old this is obviously something to encourage. :) Guess how much in one week.......drum roll.....100g gain! he's now 775g!

Aww all piggies are different and some weigh more then others. They just like their food. :)

I hope it is because they're settled and happy now, Yoshi and Moonpig do seem to have chilled out in the past couple of weeks. :)

You may find this levels out once they are settled. If your worried you could cut the portion size down and get them checked at the vets. My eldest boar weighs 1.7kg but my vet says he's fine, he's not fat he's just huge lol

I love that: " he's not fat he's just huge" :)) :)) :))

My Gert is exactly the same, she is currently 1.7kg but is just a big pig.

Piggies come in all shapes and sizes, some big, some small! Boars do tend to come on the slightly larger side though. The heaviest I have had is 1600g but there was hardly any fat on him! He was a rock hard muscle machine! I've a feeling my 8 month old boar is going to be a 1400+ pig as he is only 8 months old and 1300g at the mo!

Your boys sound a good size, but as Wiebke said, keep an eye on it over the next few weeks and months :)

Thanks everyone, I'm sure he's fine just found a 100g weight gain in one week a bit of a shock! He's not solid muscle though, more of a soft, fluffy roly poly....all the better for cuddling and tummy tickles! :)

My piggies weight tends to fluctuate(sorry not sure of spelling) quite a bit, they are usually between 1.1kg and 1.5kg.

Wow, that's quite a fluctuation. Didn't know they could yo-yo that much! @)

I haven't weighed my Lola for a while but she's very chunky! She's always eating something or has her face in the food bowl. :)) Or is just begging more...

I feed my piggies an adequate amount but she's unstuffable!
