I found a lump on Edwards side yesterday and I’m panicking like mad as the last time I found a lump on a piggy of mine (my sweet Emma) it turned out to be a cancerous tumour :(

Him and Ellen are due at the vets in nearly 3 weeks time for nail trims and check ups but I can’t wait that long so he has a vet appointment for tomorrow.

Can you please send lots of positive vibes. He’s only 3 years old :( How common is cancer in 3 year old piggies? xx

Sending positive vibes! Everything crossed it's nothing to worry about, just a cyst or fatty lump

Hugs Claire, hoping Edward will be okay x x x

@Claire W Lots of positive vibes being sent to him. Try not to worry until/if you have to. Lumps can be anything. My Jon has had a lump on his chest for years, and it's nothing but a fatty lump (probably the only fat bit on him!)

Poor Edward! Hope its nothing serious. Healing wheeks from Piggle and Puggle and a special healing rumblestrut from Theo packed with positive vibes.

I am absolutely stressing my head off as I have found a second lump in his armpit :( the last time this happened was with Ena and Erika who both ended up having lymphoma :(

I’m fearing the worst, I can’t lose another piggy to cancer :(

Please keep the vibes coming xx

Sending lots of love and hugs Claire, what awful luck :( I'm hoping it's nothing serious!:hug:

Sending positive vibes your way! Betsy has had a small fatty lump on her shoulder for around 18 months now and another at the top of her armpit appeared 6 weeks later. I have them under observation and they haven't changed or got any bigger. Here's hoping Edward has something similar.

I too had a piggie who developed multiple fatty lumps - as soon as I spotted one, I discovered more in quite a short period, and they never bothered him/required treatment.

Fingers crossed its nothing serious

Sending all my love for the vet appt. They can get fatty lumps anywhere so I hope they are just fat!

Thank you all. Edward has been to the vets and she found four altogether 😞 I’m still convinced there’s one in his armpit but she said they’re all on his hip and thigh area. Does this mean it won’t be lymphoma if there’s none on his lymph nodes?

Anyway, she has taken a biopsy of two of the lumps. Now it’s a waiting game for the results 😞

Lymphoma starts in the infection fighting cells which you find in the immune system called Lymphocytes which can be found in many place, so it's doesn't have to be in the actual lymph nodes sadly. I'm hoping that it is nothing nasty Claire, sending all my love and healing vibes for your and Edward x

Thank you. I'm just so worried about him 😞 It's going to be an anxious wait x

I forgot to update the thread, sorry.

I took Edward to the vets on Tuesday. My vet found four lumps altogether but feels that they’re too high up in his body to be lymphoma?

She has taken needle biopsies of two of the lumps and sent them away for testing.

The wait is agonising and is killing me :(
