my Guinea pig is a baby aroun 5 months old, today whilst cleaning them out I've noticed him limping on it when checking him over he's not in any pain however his toes are spraying like normal they seem to close up I can't feel any physical break but he's defiantly limping, he lives with a 8/9 month old rabbit but they get on like best friends

Please get him checked by a vet as soon as possible. Seperate them, rabbits can give guinea pigs nasty kicks or bites, your piggy needs a companion of his own kind.

Please see a vet as soon as you can!
Separate from the rabbit, as it is possible a kick (even if it was just by reflex) could have caused the injury. It is one of the reasons, (apart from different dietary needs, transmission of deadly diseases to guinea pigs and different social behaviour) why it is no longer recommended to keep rabbits and guinea pigs together.

Could this be a break then? Even though he's not in any pain?

Hello there, it is no longer recommended to keep rabbits in with guinea pigs, however well you see them getting along. Rabbits, as you have found out, easily injure piggies and also carry a bacteria that can make guinea pigs very unwell. Your guinea pig needs to see a vet, and once fit again will need another guinea pig for company.

Your guinea pig is well in pain; prey animals show pain only if it is too bad to hide. Be aware that the injury can sit higher up the leg right up to the spine, and that without a vet diagnosis you cannot know whether it is a break or just a mild sprain.
