Hi Everyone
We buried Morgan on Friday after I brought the kids back (they stay with us every other weekend). See this thread http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=92859. It was a tough evening for all of us and Morgan will be sorely missed.
Yesterday I gave Red quite a lot of time and cuddles and he was fairly happy munching on Broccoli and other bits. But. He did seem a little lonely now and I thought he kept searching his hutch for Morgan when he was put back in. That could just be human emotions however.
We phoned Tracey at our local small pet rescue centre and told her of the news on Friday. She didn't have any single pigs, but she did say we could try and introduce Red to some others.
Yesterday we got a call from Tracey. An American jet black boar with a little white stripe on his head was given to her from a friend. He's 4 weeks old and is now reserved for Red. Tracey says that if you introduce them very early the boars don't feel threatened and are more likely to be fine with the little ones. My missus is a firm believer in things happening for a reason. Me, I'm not so sure, but this seems quite unbelievable.
So, we're going to go and see him this morning. If we do bring him home I will most certainly take some pictures for you all.
