We have a 1yr old Guinea Pig that has a good size lump on his backside close to his butt. It appears to have burst open and looks suspicious in the inside. I work at a Vet office as a CVT but my clinic doesn’t do pocket pets and the vets are allergic to guinea pigs. Any help on what this could be and what we can do to fix it would be much appreciated!

@Alissa Baker It looks like a sebaceous cyst. It probably isn't hurting her so could be left but unfortunately once they get to that size they're only going to get bigger. Plus the size increases the risk of infection.

It needs to be surgically removed.

Ooo that does look nasty. I would ring round and find another vet to take him to as it definitely needs treating
