Hi All!

We have recently brought home two teddy boars (6 weeks old) and noticed that one of them (Norman) appears to have slightly bluey eyes and one has a little white mark on it. On further inspection, it seems like his eyelashes on both of his lower lids are curling inwards. I have been bathing them with warm water as I had read that some young teddies do have this and often grow out of it. However, I'm not a "wait-and-see" kind of person when it comes to pets and so am reaching out for advice on here prior to booking a vets appointment (as I find that going armed with knowledge gets you much further!). What do people think?

TIA

I would always go to a vet with any concern.
Let us know how you get on.
I love teddies.
I have a cute teddy girl - Jemimah.
Please post lots of pics of your boys.
Hope everything goes well for you

Please have any suspected eye problems vet checked promptly. Injuries can deteriorate very quickly and cause permanent damage; at the worst, removal of an eye may become necessary. The extent of the damage is often not visible by the naked eye. Since eye treatment is pretty much the same for all pets, it is an area any decent general vet can deal with competently.

Of course we will be making an appointment - this post was more to get an idea if anyone else had dealt with entropion before and what the likely steps would be once we'd seen a vet so we could be prepared.
