Hi there. My herd consists of 5 pigs with a 4-5 month old being the youngest and sadly after months of only some ptsd from the oldest (who was found with 8 cagemates in a fish tank)....it Seems the baby (peppermint) is having issues with Cinnamon (one of my twins who it he same age as 2 of the other pigs).

This all started with Nutmeg the oldest having a strong breeding cycle (I have no boars) and her being very moody. This stressed the herd out but Hazel our alpha and Cinnamon her enforcer managed to keep her in line...barely...

However later Peppermint started chattering louder then we've ever heard any pig do. (This is especially odd as she is normally the life of the party and gets along with everyone).

This got Cinnamon worked up and she doesnt start fights but she's not one to back down from bullying and ofc began rumblstrutting and shaking her butt to single she was ready to throw down...

This was during a cage cleaning so we rushed the cleanning process after seperating them for a few minutes and returned them to the cage. Everything seemed fine for a while so we went on our computers to play don't starve and about 20 or 30 minutes in the protesting began again and we put peppermint in a travel case with food treats in water and we are gonna have her spend the night in our room and reintroduce her in neutral territory tomorrow but we are concerned it is a fallout.

The problem is definitely peppermint as Cinnamon has not done anything to the rest of the herd since the separation.

Cinnamon is on the far left Peppermint is nestled between her and Hazelnut with nutmeg the oldest on the right. Bailey Cinnamons Twin is not pictured here as she was being treated for a corneal ulcer at the time.

Hi! Please have your sows checked for ovarian cysts. They can unfortunately lead to fall-outs in sows and the break up of groups.

Take the time to please read these guides here; they will tell you what you can do:
