Possible Flu= No piggie cuddles?

Hiya Everyone,
So I have been feeling a bit pants lately, with a cough that developed into a cold that developed into me not being able to walk because I was shaking so much and very nauseas.
I read a post on here a few days ago that talked vaguely about not cuddling pigs when you have a cold?
Well my little girls are calling out for me, they want cuddles, but now I'm worried if I do cuddle them, they may catch what I have?
My mum has been feeding them for me because i am just so worried about them catching what I have.
But I'm home alone today and they need their morning veggies, and only I can give it to them.
What are the chances of my gorgeous girls getting ill if they come into contact with my germs?

I started with a cold yesterday and i wouldnt go near mine, never have when ill i darent!

I'm in the same boat at the moment! I'm the only one here this morning to give them their veggies. So I'm just washing my hands really, really well, making sure their bowls are scrupulously clean, and I'm not giving them their usually tickles and cuddles!

I'd be really interested to know whether we can share germs with our pigs and if so which ones. There's a scientific report for someone to write!

I just want to say I am so sorry you are feeling so bad. I had that for two weeks and am just recovering. I held my girls when I was feeling able but my partner looked after them. I missed them like crazy so I know what you are feeling. Get well soon. Ask your doctor for anti nausea tablets as they helped me. Take care8...:rose
