Junior Guinea Pig
Last night i had a message on my Facebook from an old friend from high school asking what gender my guinea pigs are, so i told him male and asked why he was wanting to know. He replied telling me he has two guinea pigs but one had died that morning, he said (in his words which was really nice to hear and be complimented on my devoted slave-ness :p) 'I have seen that you really care for yours by all the photos you post etc i was wondering if you would want him?' as he also stated they don't have as much time for the little guy anymore. I of course said yes! As i have been wanting to find the perfect friend (each) for my two lone boars (who dont get along with eachother) for a while now. Unfortunately (for me!) his family are still deciding weather to get another companion for the little guy or weather to let me take him on, i don't want to push him but i secretly really hope they do! lol. He said he's around 4-5 years old and i would love to give him a try bonding with my less dominant boar Sooty, as Sweep is also going through some dental work at the moment and it doesn't seem like the right time to introduce a friend. My boys are only 8 month old at the moment though, so i would just have to cross my fingers that the bonding was successful! I haven't seen a pic as of yet but will post one if he sends me one and will keep the forum updated on weather he is coming to live with me or not! It would be perfect, as there are no rescues particularly close to me and i love the thought of giving a piggy a second chance in life rather than buying new from a commercial pet shop like pets at home. Although i know they have been well looked after by my friend so not so much a second chance but simply a new forever home! Anyway, rant over i know i have gone on a bit lol but i'm excited and hopeful that this turns out the way i want it to!
