I think I've convinced my dad to get me another pig. I don't know why my parents are making such a fuss about getting another piggie, my mom practiically forced me to get two pigs the first time, I would've been content with a hamster.
Anyway I asked my dad and he said he'd think about it and give me an answer by the weekend. I asked nicely, but they kept giving me excuses like your gonna be moving out in 3 years or its too much work. I mean I've looked after 2 piggies for almost three years by myself paying for everything including vets bills. But my dad saw Spike eating weeds and was like he eats weeds, now id on;t need weedkiller! I said get them another one and they'll eat more weeds, and now he's considering it.
I've been worried about Spike, his boyfriend Slush died in April, and I feel so bad seeing him on his own. As soon as I get in the door I can hear him squealing from the garden. And when I play with him and stuff, he squeaks when I go to leave. And I know he's lonely, although him and Slushh lived seperately for teh last six months of their lived they were on top fo each other and could talk to each other, I put them in the run together and let them run around together, so they were never properly seperate.
I'm not sure how Spike would react to a new friend though. I really, really, really don;t want to get him neutered, I'm too scared of a vet messing it up and stuff. So I hope he will be okay with another boy. Spikes 3, if I introduced him to a baby boy, is it likely that they will fight when the baby hits puberty?
What do you guys think?
Also, if I do get a new piggie, which I will. I will be getting it from an unexpected litter or a free to a good home thingy. The last time I bought a pet (Spike) from a petshop it had ringworm. And the RSPCA want to home all their boys will girls, so i doubt I would eb able to get one from there.
