New Born Pup
I’m just feeling super stressed at the moment, I have a very ill elderly boar who was bereaved last Monday. He stopped eating shortly after and hasn’t eaten or drank anything since by himself (that I’ve seen), without my assistance, so I’ve been syringe feeding everyday since last Monday.
I’m just feeling quite stressed at the moment because it’s touch and go as to whether he’ll make it, he’s contracted a chest infection, and has suspected dental issues. I’m hoping to get him booked in with a specialist vet tomorrow to get his teeth reassessed. So I don’t know what’s going to happen there or whether he’s going to make it yet.
But I have the added stress of knowing that this coming Friday 30th August, I’m going away camping for the weekend with my friends, and my Mum who was originally down to care for them, really isn’t confident syringe feeding and doesn’t want to do it so if I can’t get him sorted within the next few days then I’m stuffed. Plus next Monday 2nd Sept I’m meant to be starting a full time study course 8:00 - 5:30 pm every weekday in Manchester for 3 months. And at the same time my mum goes away on holiday for 2 weeks in Greece, so there will be no one home to do syringe feeds.
Does anyone know of a good boarding / piggy sitting service and how much it’d cost? I just don’t know what I’m going to do, I don’t want to miss my camping trip as I’ve been looking forward to it for ages and really need the break, but equally I don’t want to leave Paddy with my Mum if she can’t or won’t feed him, and I’ll need something in place from next week for his care when I start this course in case he needs continuous feeds after dental work. I’d need he sitter /boarder to also accommodate his baby companion Gus (who is healthy and feeding independently) as well.
