so my 2 year old sow Rapunzel for the past week her bottom has ALWAYS been wet now as a long haired piggy I'm used to her been wet now and again, but now always, I bathed all 5 of my girls last night and gave them all a trim so it's less likely to get so matted and stinky. But again all today so has been wet and she absolutely stinks sorry piggy but you do, I've wiped her with pet wipes twice today and she is still getting her fur full of poop, now she shares a cage with her four sisters and I spot clean everyday and there is no runny poos, she seems normal in herself and is eating and drinking ok. So what could it be, I'll insert some graphic pics sorry

Please have your girl seen by a vet for either cystitis or a problem with her womb, as soon as you can get a regular hours appointment. The smelly wetness is very much an indication of an infection going on.

Keep giving her a gentle bum bath with hand warm water and carefully dry her afterwards.

I will do thank you, is it something I'm doing wrong and is it contagious to the other pigs? Thanks.

It is not likely something you are doing wrong or necessarily something infectious, but we may be able to help you with the home care side once you have got a diagnosis; depending on what it is, an x-ray or scan may bring clarity as to what exactly is going on. It can be just that the change in temperatures from very to quite chilly has triggered a UTI, a urinary tract infection, but there are other possibilities, too.

It would be good if you kept the cage cleaned/changed very regularly, especially the sleeping and toiletting areas.

I honestly keep them all so clean and they have literally a whole bedroom to themselves the room is their cage so I have no idea what more I could do

There is no more you can do. Some things simply happen despite the best of care!
