Hi. I'm posting this on behalf of a friend, it's not to do with my two piggies.

Basically she has recently taken on a rescued guinea pig who was a Christmas present for a 6 year old child and was then neglected. He seems to have possibly had a seizure – eyes flickering, head moving from side to side. He has got over it but is not very lively and now has a head tilt! She is giving him vitamin drops and as much fresh food as she can. He is eating, but not big amounts. He perks up when food is offered.

Vets over the phone advice was the vitamins and fresh food but I wondered if anyone on here could help and/or point us in the direction of a piggy savvy vet that would see him and know what to do instead of suggesting pts. We are in Plymouth, Devon, UK.

He is a lovely little thing and she'd be gutted to lose him. Thank you in advance everyone :D

Have just had a look and there is one at ivybridge which isn't too far - thank you! Is there anything we can do for him in the meantime?

I would just make sure he is comfortable and eating, drinking and pooing OK. Your friend will need to step in with syringe feeding if he is not eating for himself. I can link to our guide once I am home if you need it.
