Hi I haven't long had my two girls they are 12 weeks now . In the last few days I have noticed 1 of the girls doing what seems to be a fit ? At first I just thought she was happy and having sudden bursts of energy but I'm starting to get worried now as she rolls on her back and seems very agitated I tried uploading a video but it wouldn't work sorry guys
Any replies would be great thanks :)

You have to upload the video to YouTube then post the link here.. I'm sure some of the experts will be able to advise

A video would really help, if you can get one uploaded. Is your piggy doing this often? What happens exactly? Does she recover quickly afterwards or does it take a while? Guinea pigs "popcorn" when they are happy and full of beans, but they don't usually end up on their back. This kind of thing can happen if they have a skin condition that is making them itch. I think the best course of action would be a check up with a guinea pig savvy vet. Take the video with you so they can see exactly what's going on.

Thanks for your reply yes she does it quite often now I did think she was popcorning but it seems like something serious and it's quite worrying when she does it I will try my best to upload a video thanks

I think she needs checking for a skin issue too. I have one pig that rolls on his back when popcorning but he is a little bit dim and gets over excited and falls over. He did also roll on his back when scratching a few months back when he had mange mites too though, again lost his balance. Does she seem to be scratching at all?
