post neutering question

Bit of an embarrassing question for me and the pigs but I checked their stitches and what not yesterday and noticed both their man bits were protruding and a bit raw. Have read some stuff about how they can get stuck after becoming a bit excited on the net. But as both of them have the problem I thought it might be related to their surgery.Any one had this problem.
Was just funny looks last night from my boyfriend as I was panicking about my boars willy's being stuck and having to give them a wee clean.He really does think I am a bit 98)
 
I'm sorry i can't advise you, i've never had one neutered, have you checked out Barmy4Boars site, there's some brilliant info on there.
But i'm sure somebody who can advise will be along real soon. Don't ever feel silly about worrying about your furbabies it just means you're a caring and loving slave O0 :)
 
You are too right!i am getting a bit fed up from friends and family who think i am crazy for having four guinea pigs at the age of 29. I just love them. My dad even told my b.friend not to let me get anymore and when he found out about me having the two new rescue pigs he give my b.friend such a dirty look. I think it might be because I have that chronic fatigue syndrome at the moment that i can't cope.But they are a joy to look after.
 
if youre worried about how the boys are doing hun give the vet a quick call,they might just post op check them ;)

I reckon it's probably a great idea to have your babies, it will give you something to focus on and enjoy :) :) O0 O0
Shaz is right give your vet a quick call they're usually really helpful with questions O0
 
:) Take him back to the vet and get him to pop it back in for you. Its 'easy' to do yourself but only if you know how and as its a delicate area I wouldn't take chances. The last thing you and guinea want is infection setting in :) This is a reasonably 'common' post op thing :)
