Hello, my guinea pig had surgery on Tuesday and I want to know if anyone can tell if he is healing properly and if he looks good so far.

Your vet will need to carry out a post op hands on check to determine healing etc.
It’s not something we can do through photos and as we are not qualified.

Hi

You or your vet will have to gently feel for any swellings in the coming weeks. Sudden loss of appetite is generally the sign of an infection or abscess deeper in the body. We cannot necessarily tell from pictures as swellings can happen deeper in the area nor are we by UK law allowed to.
If you have concerns about any lumps or swollen areas, please contact your vet. Ideally, your boy should be going down in the area between the genitalia and legs as the anal sac contracts again in the days after the removal of the testicles.

You may find the information in this guide link here very helpful. It contains a list of possible post-op complications (so you know what to look out and feel for) as well as an example of a problem-free recovery, including documenting in pictures how the genital area changes.
