Well my Guinea Pig was castrated 6 days ago (on Wednesday) and on the day after he was fine, eating, drinking and all and every day after that, he seems to be getting worse.
Now, 6 days after the operation he's not moving much, not eating his favorite foods (parsley and grass) and even though he drank quite a lot a few days ago, now he is hardly drinking.
We brought him to the vet yesterday (Monday) and she said that there are no problems except a bit of swelling (so no temperatures, infections or anything that could be of concern). He is going to visit the vet again on Thursday but I'm still a bit cautious of him.
Pre-Surgery he was jumpy, ate a lot and a very healthy 4 year old Guinea Pig but now he's just nibbling his foods and not moving, even when outside in the run.
I don't know what to do, I cannot wait because I fear that it would be too late; can anyone please give me advice?
