Hello,

I bought a “hay n hide” tube which is a tube coated with so called hay. I have had them before, but never with pigs trying to settle down and being very skittish. They were both ramming themselves in this tube ( this isn’t the issue ) the issue I had with it was the tiny tiny little fibres the tube is coated with which 3 or so pieces went into one of my pigs eyes. As I said it could just be a one off problem, but personally if I’m going to use a tube now then I will use a plain one, these little fibres of hay stuck to the tube come off and fall easily. I will try and attach a picture now. I can’t see any perks of it as it’s just a tube and doesn’t need to be coated in anything if they have their normal hay and other things. Just my opinion. Both of them stuck in there like sardines with their face against the side caused these bits to come off and go into her eye. It wasn’t anything to do with my normal hay from haybox

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Is your piggy ok now?

That’s OK, just stating my experience with it, I won’t be using it again. I think it’s a bit better thank you, not squinting as much :)
