Potty Train

Any advice on potty training? My GP’s are 13wks old.

I’m afraid even after more than 20 years keeping piggies I have had no success with this

Piggies can’t really be trained. You may find that they start to wee in a few places and you can try putting a litter tray in those areas - note though that this is not training them - but if they are anything like a lot of piggies, certainly like mine, it won’t work and they may just starting urinating somewhere else. They will poop all over the place.

I saw a video on YouTube, basically the owner put a litter tray in the corner, removed all the shavings and hay and replaced the bedding with fleece. Put some hay in a corner, and that’s how she trained her GP’s.

I tried this, it doesn’t stop that from going in other places like you say but mine do go in the tray especially if they eat there too.

I agree though, it’s never gna be fully done either way. They go soooo much it’s impossible. I guess I just want to know if anyone has successfully done it like the video claimed.
