Potty training my piggies

Hello, I am new. I have taken in two piggies who are around three years old. We bring them in in the evening as we love them and put them on a cushion, where they do loads of wees and poos! When they wander around they don't seem to though. So I'm wondering if they are using it as a litter tray. Any ideas/advice?

Also, I bought a hutch with a ramp to the downstairs and I can't get them to use this. I'd like them to so they get more exercise. Do you think because they are older they are set in their ways?
 
My pigs were like that with their ramp... It sounds cruel, but I used to put them in downstairs to encourage them - and only put fresh food downstairs. They soon got the hang of it :)
 
thanks - i have put the one down there and she has got back up, but the other one didnt. but they haven't ventured down. i will put some nice food down there tomorrow and see what happens!

hello, not yet....

well, i put them down yesterday and they both managed to get up , but they haven't figured out how to get down yet!

and as for the potty training, i've been ill this week, so I'm going to get onto it next week!

i love my piggies so much and really want them scooting up and down their ramp having some fun!
