Pre Loved Adverts For Piggies

Some advice needed. I am a member of pre loved and tonight already seen 2 adverts in my town for guinea pigs free to a good home due to relocation. Is it acceptable to message these people and ask them to come here and join to help rehome? I for one, personally would feel better for them doing it here, than on a site where anyone, including unsuitable people could snap them up? Thanks guys.

yes quite a few members send a polite message to say that if they join the forum its a good chance they will find a home with piggie lovers or can recomend a good rescue that will help find good homes.

When I see 'wanted' adverts for guinea pigs I always message and recommend them to go to a rescue, every little helps I guess! Will mention this forum next time as well I think

I usually sent them the contact details of my local rescue & explain the bad side of what can happen if they're for free. Av fortnight ago I saw 3 5 year old piggies free to good home, will separate if necessary. My local rescue can't take any more at the moment so I went & picked them up to possibly foster. I've now got 3 more lovely piggies but can't take anymore if a similar ad comes up so I try not to look.
