Preparing Tummies For Spring Grass!

Hi, just wanted to share a cool little grass set that my son has grown for his indoor piggies. I got it for him dead cheap from zooplus whilst ordering heatpads and we can't believe how quick it grew into fresh, luscious grass. We aren't able to leave it in the enclosure for two reasons though 1) they'd chew the plastic container 2) their tummies aren't used to digesting it yet. It's a good start though for when they're able to go in a garden run once spring is here.

Here's a short video of Smartie munching away. She ended up pulling the container under the bridge which was very funny but I missed recording it!

How long did it take to grow to that length?

Under a week - it germinated in about 3 days and then shot up. I'm not much of a gardener so I was amazed, lol! He cuts bits off and puts in with their veggies a few times a week it has kept on growing.

Did you give it a lot of water to begin with?

No - just a little bit of water every day.
