Prescription Meds Vet Bills

Hi all! Being from the states I only know how expensive vet visits are here $125 approx every time my sweet Cinnamon gets a URI and needs a course of Baytril which only costs about $25 but for the vet to listen to her lungs cost $72! I don't like to self treat but it's always the same advice from the vet... 10 days of Baytril does anyone know if it's available online? And if it's safe I can't afford the recurrent vet bills but would never let her suffer so just have to manage for now but trying to find someway to reduce the expense

Unfortunately, all antibiotics are prescription only and baytril is the only officially licensed AB for guinea pigs. You can try and see whether you can get baytril cheaper online if your vet is prepared to give you a prescription for it (you will have to pay for that, of course...)
