Price Of Trimming Teeth

It looks like my hamster needs his teeth cutting, is only a recent thing, still eating and drinking fine. Suprised he has never had any problems before as he has never been a chewer and is 2 years 6 months.

My vet charge £11.50 for a consultation and charge no more if they can cut them with him awake. Does anyone know the rough cost of putting him under to cut them.

As i doubt they can do it while he is awake as he is not keen on being held by others and a real wriggler, I do worry about putting him under due to his age

Am not too sure but in the past if one of my hamsters has needed a procedure under anaesthetic I have been charged about £60 I think.
