As promised here are some pigtures of my 8 year old piggy Primrose, who i have had since a baby and who turned 8 in May.

She has become quite a doddery old girl these days and sometimes trips on her hay and spends more time snoozing than she used to but she still enjoys the company of her friends and has a very good appetite.

All for me?

and with her friends ...

... nomming together

In the many years i have kept piggies Primrose is only my second pig to reach the age of 8, although many have lived to be 6 or 7 (but sadly not all).

I would love to see pigtures of other members golden oldies, past or present.

Hello Primrose,
My names Rosie (see it's like your name), I am getting old now and boy do I feel it.
I am 7 and like to think I'm growing old gracefully just like you.
I find I can hardly keep my eyes open at times and just fall asleep there and then where I am standing.

I love eating, I am always there first when the hoomin has some yummy treats, I need a little help sometimes to find them as I can't see as well as I used to. My hoomin also weighs me all the time, she says I am growing big and strong even though I am the smallest piggy.
Maybe, we could start an O.A.P (old age piggies) lunch club where we can munch all the yummies together. I hope all your younger friends didn't steal all that lovely looking grass From you.

My legs don't work quite.as well as they used to, but I have some magic medicine which makes them not ache as much.

She's a lovely old lady, I hope that mine live to a ripe old age too.

Awwww she's beautiful awwww.... I love your herd of piggys aswell. I think this is s great thread and would love to see who has older pigs xx

Oh she's lovely and what a wonderful age, and even better that she has lived with you for that whole time. My Terk is 7 but we took her in from a friend a while back and so can't take the credit for her old age.

Oh my goodness, Primrose is completely adorable! You would never guess that she's an oldie to look at her. I love your group pics too. You have some very lovely piggies. x)

i love this thread, I'm Dylan mummy call me her italian stallion as i like to slick back my long black locksim 8 years old.

I started the first 18 months of my life in a rescue thats when mummy got me and i came to live as a boar trio with my friends Basil and Smokey but the sadly died 2 years ago

I was abit sad so mummy got me a new friend called arnie he was very full of himself but i told him what for theres no bossing me around i also had to have a big bladder stone removed at the at the same time that was a little painful but I'm glad i had my friend

sadly my little buddy Arnie died at just 2 years old an mummy said i am already a little skinny and didnt want me freaking out so she took me and got me a new friend called Badger whose 2 and so nice and chilled as he is over his teenage hormones i am hoping to have many years with badger. w

I think some piggies, like some people just have genes that increase their chances of living to a ripe old age, while others sadly don't, despite the very best of care. That said, of course good care plays a very important part and credit to you for caring for Terk as he has aged into his twilight years.

Hi Dylan, congrats on your age, I am sorry you lost your previous friends but glad you now have Badger. Did he join you recently? My hoomin thinks she may have met him a couple of months ago.

A lunch club sounds great! we could chat about our old legs and how the younger piggies don't understand. Some of my friends are getting on a bit too. Woodstock the cream piggy in the middle is 7 and a bit of an old (neutered) gent too, he also has stiff legs and tasty medicine. Don't worry my friends don't steal from me but they do eat quicker so i have a little time out each day to enjoy some extra food just for me.

What a lovely old lady!

This is Wuschel ("Tousles" ), a childhood piggy that lived to nearly 10 years old. In this picture he's about 7.

My currently oldest piggy is Bryn Oscar at six years, who is getting a bit stiff in his joints but hasn't lost any of his pirate soul.

Golden Oldie piggies, they just melt my heart. They are so special.

Primrose is drool x)
