This little man is booked in for an op on Monday

He has what they think to be a cyst on the side of the jaw so he's having it removed, its been there a while and has got a little bigger so its time to remove it before it affects his eating

Good luck you handsome fella! Great name, I think he looks just the the human Prince Harry!

To follow on from alcesterpig's question, have the vets aspirated the lump at all to determine what is inside? Lancing cysts and abscesses is easier and more preferable to having the entire lump removed surgically.

Thanks for your lovely messages. Prince Harry is fine, I am stocking with lots of tasty treats for when he returns home. They did talk of aspiration but because of where it is situated under his eye and on his jaw and the risk being that if it gets bigger it will encroach on either his mouth/eye and will then be a much bigger op it was decided to operate now. Poor little man.

Good luck for Prince Harry's op, sending heaps of healing wheeeeeeeeeks and gentle loves and cuddles for him xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks for all the lovely messages, they are really aprreciated. Harry is now at the vet, I have to ring after 1 to see how things have gone, I am rather nervous at the mo.

The vet that took him was lovely and the last view I had off him was him getting a cuddle off the vet.

His cage mate Sparky is looking rather lost at the minute

Glad he came through the anesthetic alright I hope he enjoys being back at home sending healing vibes x

He's home, it was an absess and rather a nasty one so he will be on anti biotics for a few days he's very sleepy but his cage mate Sparky is looking after him

I'm sure he will soon be feeling loads better. I think just being home and back with his mate will perk him up.

Sending you lots of love, Prince Harry! I'm sure your mate Sparky is doing a fantastic job of looking after you too! xxxxxxxxx

Prince Harry much better this morning eating for England, and fighting madly when given anti biotics as a result we have discovered that they make fantastic hair gel.rolleyes

Yes, they can be pretty grumpy aftrewards, can't they? But it's a good sign, he'll make a good and quick recovery if he's coming out of the op fighting!

Best luck to him and to you for getting more antibiotic into him than on the fur - it is an art with some of them!

Glad to hear he is eating well and i hope he is a good boy in the future with his medicine lol

He took it tonight no bother I caught him off gaurd, he's tucked up in my cardi at the moment, something which he loves.^)^)zzz
