Princess and Kitty update (some upsetting photos)

Thanks for the update. Please keep us up-to-date and I'm thinking about them a lot and send lots of love.

Hopefully it may just be healing skin that is itchy as sometimes its at its itchiest when its scabbing over and mending x
 
Poor little things, hope things improve for them soon.

These two darlings have been back to the vet today as they just wont stop itching! He has given them a steroid injection to help find out the cause of the itching, if the steroids work they will work quickly and could indicate an immune illness that could be lifelong. They will be going back soon for a skin scraping to see if they have a resistant type of mite that would be treated with a different product.

I hope today's injections help ease the itching which must be driving them mad!

The vet was very pleased with their progress and he said the likelyhood of it being the immune disease is rare.

ADDED: The steroid jab didn't work and they still itch! Next is a skin scrape and have a look if it's a more resistant form of mite.
 
Oh my god! Poor piggies. Its heartbreaking to think someone let them get to this state. Thank god you were able to rescue them Lisa, you are doing an amazing job with them. Sending healing vibes and gentle hugs to them x

Poor little ladies ... I am really keeping my fingers crossed for these two!
