Today I noticed that Priscilla was eating very little and much quieter than her usual self.
So off we went to the vets this evening.
She’s lost some weight but not critical.
Kiri gave her a good check up, feeling her all over, checking her teeth and couldn’t find anything other than a bit of gas.
No bloat thankfully.
As Priscilla started tucking into the dill as soon as she was put back Kiri thinks she might have released the gas.
Priscilla screamed the place down when she had an injection of Loxicom.
I came home with Emeprid to be given every 6 hours.
Another dose of Loxicom for tomorrow and more critical care.
I tried some syringe feeding this evening with the Emeprid but after 2ml Priscilla was absolutely determined not to cooperate
I can see the next day or so is going to be fun if she doesn’t start eating properly for me.
My poor vet fund had barely recovered from last year - it’s a good thing I start getting a (small) pension this month from the dim and distant past when I used to work for a bank.

Poor Priscilla, I hope she's ok and just trying out a new year diet plan like @Betsy 's Velvet and its nothing serious! Will she eat critical care licked off cucumber slices or carrot sticks? Puggle wouldnt syringe feed properly after any of her bloaty episodes so she licked critical care off carrots a lot...

Christian says that he'd like to see Priscilla in a bikini I told him to behave or I would tell Velvet and he would get a right royal telling off!

I checked on her a little while ago and she was looking much brighter.
She ate a chunk of cucumber and a little hay so hopefully with the meds she’ll want to eat on her own.

I will try a bit more critical care with her 12:30am Emeriprid.

Just for Christian @Betsy

All the best! I hope that Priscilla perks up soon!

My vet account seems to disappear as soon as I've put some money back in... :(

Just after midnight Priscilla was due her Emeprid and I wanted to try and get some critical care into her.
Upshot - critical care: Priscilla 1 - slave nil. She did eat a bit of cucumber with cc spread on it
Emeprid- slave 1, in extra time - Priscilla nil but she did manage a little nip on my finger and filled the towel on my lap with poop
This morning she was much brighter and had been eating hay so we just tried the Emeprid.
It only took half an hour to get 1ml into her.
Priscilla is now officially a gold medalist wriggler.
She’s definitely much brighter and eating bette today.
I’ll check her weight this evening with her Emeprid dose, hopefully she’ll start gaining again and I won’t need to try and get cc into her.

Hope she is back to her normal self soon! I always like to think that putting up a fight is a good thing (also annoying, especially when you’re tired and just want to get it done!)

Just seen this, hope she feels better soon! And causes you a bit less trouble!
Pedro and Priscilla, the King and Queen of wriggly beasts! They like to have lots of time with us really, not just being naughty I'm sure! :) x

Priscilla says helloooooo handsome.
Will your slave bring you along when she comes to visit? Please?
My slave has just told me that no she won't be bringing me to see you. I'm so sorry about that cos I think you is luvlee.
Love from
Christian

Poor Priscilla! Sending lots of love. Have you tried mushed up pellets instead of CC? Not all piggies like CC and it can be a battle

My wriggly girl is eating again and being very generous with her poops when I try to give her Emeprid.
As she’s definitely much brighter and eating well I’m not going to try any more syringe feeding.
She put on a few grams today so whatever it was that upset her tummy seems to be righted now.
I’ll keep on with the Emeprid for a couple more days and massage her tummy just to make sure she’s ok

That’s excellent news! Hope she continues to improve 😁

That's great news, usually it seems like bad tummy trouble resolves within 24 hours of treatment like nothing happened, or it doesn't- seems like Priscilla is in the same category as bloaty Puggle was, 24 hours of stress for the piggy slaves, 2 or 3 doses of medicine, and much better. Hope she keeps it up but maybe keep any spare medicine for a few weeks in case, Puggle had 6 extra brief bloaty episodes before everything calmed down finally- and always at the weekend- but as we had the medicines already it cleared up after 1 dose once we knew what to watch out for :)
Puggle's last episode of tummy trouble was over 2 months ago on the bloaty sunday the vet said it might be a long term thing and prescribed her 3 months worth of zantac costing £80... not used it once! Helpful piggies :) at least she got a free nail trim while she was there...

Thanks everyone.
After it took 2 of us to get 1ml of Emeprid into Priscilla last night and the fact that she’s eating again I stopped the meds today. Good idea to keep them @PigglePuggle .
Today she’s much brighter , almost her normal self again. She’s eating well and has put on weight again so worry over.
Bonus pic of Priscilla in the hay pile this morning
