I've been looking for a thread I found last night, but can't for the life of me find it now!

I need to get some Pro C down my girls as they're off veg still, so am wanting to know how much Pro C to use in a 1ml dosage and how often I need to give it them per day. I seem to remember the thread I read, mentioned a sprinkle for 1ml, or a pinch? I know it's not much, but I want to give them enough to be helpful but not overdo it. In the care guides it suggests 5ml at a time, but I think that's if the pig's on antibiotics, which mine aren't.

@Janey I usually mix about an 8th of the scoop with 1ml of water and give that. It's really hard to guess a dose as it only says about mixing it in their water.

Thanks @Jaycey - is that just once a day or more often?

I have a pack of pro-c here right now and it says "1 scoop per 200mls". I've been making half a scoop in 100mls in a cup for Tallulah fresh every day and giving her 2mls twice a day... thats a lot of waste but its cheap and you get loads!

Cheers @PigglePuggle - that's an easy way to measure it out!

I mix it like @PigglePuggle does. I did wonder if you could store it in the fridge and use it over two days and not waste so much but as PigglePuggle says it's fairly cheap. I've got 2 piggies on 10 - 15ml a day so I don't have so much to waste.

Thanks @piggieminder - I don't know why I didn't think of this myself to be honest!

I sprinkle a pinch of Pro-C onto a bowl of forage every other day for my 5 piggies. I give them 2 bowls of forage. 1 bowl in the top of the hutch and 1 bowl in the bottom of the hutch. :):)

Another good idea - thanks @Betsy ;)

Sprinkling it's good if you just want it for the probiotics and vit c. S & P are on extra fluids for their bladder sludge (suggested by vet), pro c tastes good so they take the fluid.

Anyone smelled the pot of pro c? 🤢🤢🤢.

I just guess the mixture, i put it in one of the water bottles to encourage drinking, because Dot likes the flavour

Fifi and Darcy need it cos their poops are a bit pointy, so they're off veg (3rd day today). I just want to see if this helps get them back to normal, if not, then they'll be going to the vet.

Yes I'm not convinced Tallulah uses her water bottle much so I like to get the extra liquid into her!
I have noticed Dot always goes to that bottle now, its purely just to get her drinking more, the vit c probably degrades fast, not sure about the pro biotic part
