I got some Pro C Probiotics from P@H yesterday for Freya as she is on Baytril due to a wound on her side. Is this the right stuff? If so how do I mix it as it's powdered? and how much do I need to give her? She is 1kg and is on 1ml of Baytril a day.

Thanks,
x

That probiotic is perfectly OK. I have it as well for emergencies.

You give about a pinch an hour or two after the antibiotic. You can sprinkle it on a bit of veg which you give as a treat or hide it in a bit of cucumber. Otherwise, you can dissolve it in a little bit of water and syringe.

When I have a piggy on Critical Care or mushed up pellets, I add a pinch to the mix if they are on antibiotics.

Thank you Wiebke, Thats exactly what I wanted to know. I shall do soon then as it's been about an hour since I gave her the antibiotics.

Thanks again :)
