Our boy (5 y/o male - 6 soon) had a 7 day course of Baytril which he finished Tuesday, I’ve still been giving probiotics twice a day currently but was wondering how long I should do it for? He isn’t the biggest fan of the syringe so don’t really want to be doing it any longer than needed

It’s good idea to give probiotic for a few days after the course ends; which you have now done so you are probably ok to stop it now

Continue to keep an eye on his weight and ensure his poops are well formed for a few more days after you stop the probiotic

I tend to be guided by the size and consistency of their poops. If they need a helping hand, I'll give them probiotics once a day for a day or two. If they are looking good, I'll ease off the pro b's. The quality of the food helps the probiotics, so good quality fresh food (if the poops aren't very soft) and good quality hay should help the probiotic to work.

I go by the same method as @Truffolo .

The poos are coming out about a day later than the food has gone in so if they look normal and healthy, it means that the digestive process is working as it should and doesn't need extra help so you can phase out the probiotic. There is no firm rule; you go by how much or little the antibiotic has impacted on the digestion and the appetite/weight.
