I am just wondering, I have heard alot of you mention that giving a sick piggie a probiotic when having digestive problems but do you give them a probiotic at any other time? Would piggies benefit having this say on a daily basis to aid digestion? I have seen the probiotics in the petshop and I wondered should piggies be having this all the time or not?

Probiotics are usually given when a piggy is on antibiotics as it can sometimes upset their tummy. Probiotics can also be given at other times to help their tummies if they've got soft poos from eating too much grass for example. It shouldn't / doesn't need to be given otherwise.

I found giving probiotic helped my impacted boars - they needed tending less often. :)
