Does anyone know of good probiotics I can buy?

Monty has been having a few problems with his bowel habits - mainly being impacted a lot, I just sort him out which does not take long.

I got some probiotics for Leo bunny last time I was at the vets as he had had an upset tum which was possibly due to the heatwave early July?

Leo is fine now most days - tum played him up a couple of times at his pet boarding when we were away but is fine now.

I'm thinking of putting Monty onto Probiotics but the vets ones are more of a syrup/creamy gel which I think more would go on his whiskers than in his mouth so I'm after one to add to his water. Liquid type would suit Leo as he hates syringe feeding of any description!

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good one I can buy online?

BioLapis or Avi-Pro plus are both good, both powders that you dissolve in water and syring into the animals, I think you can buy both online at sph supplies

Thank you - I needed more Critical Care and AviPro and just bought it from Thistle Cavies rather than sph supplies - happy to help them, makes much more sense!

Just made a Thistle cavies order for some Avi-Pro to start off with see how we get on. At the mo his impactation is not too bad but needs daily checks/clean outs as needed. He does not seem too bothered by it but Id like to try pro biotics (and not the sticky type the vets sell at £16 a weeks tube!)

Am hoping it will ease Montys symptoms as I dont think it can be very comfy! Am going away in August for 4 days - Mums looking after the gang but is not too keen on the idea of dealing with Montys rear end so want to get him on probiotics asap if there is a chance they can help.

I use the one from Pets at Home

now- i caught my 2 year old drinking it

what is it going to do to her?
 
yeah and the piggies love it

they drink more with it in the water than they do without

maybe it makes our tap water taste better
 
Mega fast service from Thistle cavies:) probiotics arrived today so will start Monty on those asap.
