Probiotics..

Does anybody give these to their piggies anyway? Or just when they are ill or on medication?

If given anyway -daily or weekly?

I have some powder probiotics from P@H which I bought when I first got my piggies, but I have only used it a couple of times. It is one that is supposed to be sprinkled over food or put in water.

I only use this when a piggy is on medication and i syringe it to them.

I usually just give probiotics when a guinea pig is poorly. I use Avipro Plus.

I use for ill piggies, I also add vit c if I suspect my pigs are ill dose is 10mg/kg daily for everyday piggies and 20-30mg/kg daily for illness/ pregnancy. You cannot overdose on vit c as its excreted by the kidneys. Right now I've got that fact out of my head I can sleep tonight!
