Problem with my guinea pig's bum....

I am not sure whats wrong exactly but his intestine from his ass seems to be coming out... its hard to describe but its like his ass is pushed out and his intenstine seems to be hanging (I'm not even sure its his intenstine it might be something else). I guess maybe you could call it a anal prolapse?
anyways i was wondering how bad this sounds if anyone is familier with this?


The guiny hasn't shown any changes in behaviour, he eats very well. The only problem is he is making new sounds i'v never heard before similar to chirping.
 
I've no experience of this but if his intestines are coming out then I imagine he would be in a lot of pain and wouldn't be eating, could he be impacted http://www.guinealynx.info/impaction.html

Hopefully someone in the know will be along to advise. If in doubt I'd get him to a vet. :)

I agree w2ith members who advise getting to a vet asap.

Has the piggy been neutered?,and is there any chance of a pic?.

Are the pellets normal?.

Are you sure this is not impaction?
 
Get to a vet ASAP. Its not his penis thats prolapsed is it- still needs the vet first and foremost though.
 
I will be taking him to the vet hopefully tomorrow. His behavious seems unchanged, thats what strikes me odd.
He is eating alot as before and drinking. I'v been putting some cream to soften up his bum because it looks very dried. There is like a lump coming out of his bum and doesn't seem like its getting better. And no i dont think its impaction since i checked the website and its not similar to that.
 
This is a strange one.Possibly a cyst or tumour?.What colour and texture is the lump?,is it long or round?.
 
its pinkish and dries up if i dont moistorize it. Its more of a round lump that seems to come out of his ass than long.
 
I have heard of an issue like this once, and the outcome wasn't good, unfortunately. The pig was acting normally but must have been in trouble.
 
Please let us know how the vets goes on tomorrow and good luck hope its nothing too serious as this sounds unusual :(
 
What size are we talking? Baked bean/grape bigger/smaller?

How long have you been moisturising?
