My little beauty Darcy has been a pain to tame, she is so timid and scared. I’ve had her for over a year. Today, for the first time she let me stroke her in the cage she even layed down and actually looked like she was enjoying it, then she got spooked. But I think today has been a good day :love: my little Maisie is still as sassy as ever :luv::luv:937699B2-ACD7-48F2-B173-BC501D4C3426.webp

That’s great! It’s a fantastic feeling when it happens!
I had the same feeling a few weeks ago when my shy boy, Popcorn, decided he didn’t need to run off and hide as often when I go to them . They’ve been with me six months and his Partner in crime, Dexter, has been a lot easier and was friendlier much quicker so it was lovely to see pops being brave too!

Some just take longer than others, so well done for sticking with it and moving at her pace.

I know, I just thought we would never get there. & that was fine, I accepted it being on her terms, but then It was just a moment where I thought wow we will get there

Yes you’ll get there, small steps, one at a time. Don’t loose heart x

I'm in the same boat, Cocoa won't let me pet her even though I've had her for a while. But good things come to those who are patient, as you experienced with Darcy :luv:
Also, cute photo!

It takes time, we have all been there for sure. Little stunners!
