One of my piggies just projectile peed on another! Was this intentional? Is projectile pee normal? (They're all ladies ... and apparently I'm using that term loosely! ;) )

I wasn't expecting that! So I'm a bit taken aback :yikes:

Yeah I've seen my girls use that trick when one was too horny (it was that time of the month) It can go really far as well.

My girls do it all the time :))

It's a common thing, it literally means "pee off" XD Piggies can do it when they're grumpy from being in season or just if they wanna be left alone, we've just got to accept their lovely habits haha.

I just wanted to stop in and say it's not just girls who do it. My boys do it too when they're feeling humpy!

Wow! I just plain never knew! I'll expect some flying pee now I guess! :xd:

Now you know the real reason piggy cages need nice high sides XD

Also I just wanted to add that my little Rex looks HILARIOUS when she's been sprayed on, it shows up like sparkling dew on her coat :))

It happens to her a lot, she's always too close to other piggies butts haha.

I know you're not supposed to bathe piggies much. So does the sprayed piggy just tidy themselves up afterwards?

I just pat her down with a bit of kitchen towel and left her get on with it haha. It's her own fault for literally being up the bosses bum XD

It doesn't smell or anything, they wash after they get over the shock of it haha.

Here's Edward on the left sporting a nice urine soaked face. This was taken when he had only been here for a few days and Emma and Ellen were laying down the rules.

He did a lot of face washing that week and soon got the hint :))

Emma and Ellen look very pleased with themselves!

I had one who peed from one side of the shed to the other.. right onto the side of the radiator about 3 feet. It used to be everywhere, including side of the cage.

Mine just sit and wash themselves if they get caught, it's weirdly cute, they just look like they are saying 'ok, ok, I asked for that, let's just move on..'

Poor Edward! Glad he figured out the rules ;)
