So last week I took my boar Dave to the vets due to his penis sticking out (could even see the horns)! They gave him an injection to help the swelling and pushed it back in. They said if it happens again to just pop it back in. Ok. 24hours later, BAM, it's back out. Pushed it in repeatedly all week. So took him back to the vets today and he did the same thing and gave me a lube. I've also been noticed that Dave has been doing the mating dance more often to his cage mate (another boar) His cage mate squealing and surrenders to his dominance but Dave continues all the time. No signs of bullying though since they eat/sleep together. Dave has always been boss so I don't know why he keeps doing it to Chaz who surrenders every time. They are both over a year.

As long as it doesnt keep getting stuck it shouldnt be an issue.. Hes obviously getting a little too excited with his dominance ritual!

Apply the lubricant to the area a few times a day just to prevent it getting stuck and swelling if you are worried

Another vet may be able to fix it with a little stitch if it remains a bother; it is a very minor procedure..
It sounds like your boys are in the teenage months, so things can be lively depending on high the hormones run.

May look into that, I guess for now I will continue popping it in and see if things "calm" down ;) Do you know when their hormonal stage finishes? Since if it's still a problem by then I will more than likely look into stitches.
