hi , I'm fairly new please bear with me
Piggies are currently in hutch in garage but we bring them into house everyday for floor time in a large run , problem is I have carpet , does anyone know of such a thing I can put down which is both nice for them to run around on but waterproof back to protect my carpet
Needs to be quite big as the run is one of those large octagon metal type ones
Also wondering where I can buy pet mats I think they are called They soak up the wee I've seen them in carriers , I suppose similar to what you put on chlds bed in case of accidents Thankyou

You could use a shower curtain under towel and fleece to protect your carpet. I found the best place to buy puppy pads is Quality Save. They are about £1.99 and work a treat. You can also get them in Pound Stretcher but I find these to be a bit flimsy.

I have a shower curtain and towel then fleece.A ground sheet would work as well. You could just use shower curtain then fleece and just wipe the shower curtain before you fold it away. You could try putting a litter tray in with bedding and hay to see if they would use that as well

The magical littler tray works a treat, I forgot about that one! A newspaper, some bedding and a heap of hay for encouragement saves a lot of poo pickups and seems to be the main wee area for my lads.

I use the old PVC tablecloth then towels and fleece. litter trays work well, especially if they're enclosed.

I'll try all those things , Thankyou
They tend to pee around their house , so would you put house inside litter tray ? Or is that weird ?

I use a waterproof backed picnic blanket. Its brushed fleece so its nice to run on and can easily be chucked in the washing machine, but mine tend to only pee on the puppy pads if they can see one.

Thanks , I actually have one if those so I'll try it out , see if it's big enough , need to train them to pee on a pad then

You can actually get bases for the octagonal play pens. Mine came with one, but you can buy them. I put towels and a fleece on top of the base and throw them in the wash every few days! This one may not be the right size but you could try ebay too. Or just go for the cheap shower curtain!

Oh ThAnkyou , they do the octagon one but only seem to sell it with the run , might go for the shower curtain idea , they are very cheap and can go in the machine :)
