Has anyone else experienced this?

Okay when I cuddled Piggy RIP after a while he would take my top in his teeth and pull upwards for few seconds then let go. I assumed he wanted to go back in cage,

so i put him back in cage and he would wee.

All the time I have had him i would be cuddling him and after a while he would take my top in his teeth and pull upwards freeze with my top in his teeth then let go.

He learnt that by doing this he would be put back in cage. very smart piggy LOL

Well my female Abby is doing this now - i think Piggy must have told her about it ;)

Everytime she takes my top and pulls upwards freezes for few seconds then lets go - i put her back in cage.

I will try and video this and submit its so funny and cute

My guinea pig does that to the towel I usually let her curl up in when I hold her. It means they want to snuggle in something. Try letting them snuggle in your shirt or have a blanket or a towel.

(Also, my maria will pull the towel in an attempt to make a sort of nest.)

oh my gosh so all this time ive been reading the signs wrong mallethead

So Abby wants to snuggle up with me rolleyes aaaaaaaw

are yoou sure this means that?

I don't know about your piggy, but when mine does that and I let her curl up and cuddle in my shirt or a towel, she seems appeased and happy.

Plus, if she's acting like that and being cuddly, and then she cries when she is put back in the cage, I doubt she wants to be alone :))

You could try and see if it works.

it can be either........my girls get very wriggly or pull at the towel i'm holding them in when they want to get down........
Just have a try at both things......if she seems to get a little agitated.......pop her down :)

Yeah I guess it depends on the piggy. With mine it means she wants to cuddle or when tugging on the towel she seems to be trying to position the towel around her in a comfortable nest. When she wants out (I always leave a bit of the towel open), she climbs though the hole and on top of the towel.

One of our boys does the exact same thing, he's quite independent and not one for cuddles ( although I try!) but I'm convinced it means put me back! I've tried getting him out again shortly after but he's right back pulling at jumpers huffing and chattering :0 I think it's more the case that he's trained us now! But I will try a snuggle next time just in case :)

With all of mine it meens I NEED A PEE! and if you dont act within seconds to get them back in they will piddle all over you.

I would say if hes peeing when you put him back then that is what hes trying to tell you.

I have to agree, mine do this when it is wee time.:)

I tried it today :( I snuggled her up into a little nest on me and she still kept pulling with teeth :( a mystery I wish i could know what she means when she does this so i can do what she wants rolleyes

well it meant that with Piggy he wants to pee but with Abby I think its the same :(

I tried snuggling with her and wrapping her into a nest today and she still did it so I put her back in cage :( its a mystery

maybe she dont like me cuddling her 8...

Maybe she is trying to eat a fabric. Every once in a while my maria can be heard nibbling away at her towel.

They are funny little creatures with there strange little ways. Jasper sucks the buttons on my top! I dont like him doing it of course in case they come off, and stop him but it's very cute. Like a baby sucking a dummy drool I think you know best what it means, they are all so different xoxo

ok i cuddled Abby and Jemma together today all was well - they are relaxing more now

Abby didnt pull my top for 20 minutes then she started pulling so i put them back in cage :(

so maybe it means i wanna pee :{

Definately means I want a pee with my lot. Three tugs then you get a nip from Spike if you haven't put him down quick enough. Spike sometimes does it as soon as I've picked him up, I think he sometimes just isn't in the mood for fuss and knows I won't risk getting pee'd on!

My guinea pig doesn't give me any notice when she needs to wee. She does try and aim off my lap though XD. Though, that's why I've begun to hold her in a towel, so I don't get any on me. pow-pow

I vote for "Put me back now!" Ginger does this when I'm carrying him back to his cage or if I'm holding him in my arms walking around, which he hates.

My furball pulls on the towel or on my shirt when she thinks shes not getting enough attention..... If you think yours is spoiled haha, wait til you meet mine. She pulls and pulls until you start petting her again haha.... Oh joy

ok it seems to be everytime i have Abby on my lap. She makes very faint little happy noises so i think she loves the attention but she just loves pulling my top

ive just got her out of the cage - she pulls top immediately so she cant want to pee.

I dont understand LOL LOL LOL :{

Piggy did this when he wanted to toilet. But it seems Abby is doing this for another reason :{

My boys do that but I thought it was cos they were bored! Sometimes I watch TV or sit by the computer with them and I would get a little distracted then they would go through the pulling routine. I wear t-shirts with sequins or gems on them and they love pulling them off. I don't buy sparkly tops anymore or if I'm wearing one I wear a jacket to hold the piggies and spoil all their fun!
