I just bought her in after shes been outside in the run all day and shes very weak and limp. Every time i put her down she just lies down and wont walk. Shes making chockling noises and she seems happy and not in pain and ate a little bit of parsley but there's deffinatly something wrong with her. When she lies down her head tolts to the side a bit too.
This is very sudden and she's never been ill before though she's 5 year old. I very regularly check her weight and teeth but nothing has been wrong.
Please help. :(

Hey you really need to phone the emergency vet as I don't think there is anything you are going to be able to do for her yourself :( I really hope she will be okay, let us know how you get on, best wishes xox

i have just rung the emergency vets, they're out on call right now but i'll be taking her in once they get back. she's eating little bits of pepper now but she's struggling :(

Oh dear I hope she gets better soon. Have you had a look in the run to see if there's anything in there should could of eaten that she shouldn't? Buttercups? Any plants sneaking their way in?

Does Pumpkin go outside regularly, sorry for asking such a silly question ?
If not, she may have gorged on grass but would definitely contact an out of hours vet as suggested.
Hope she is OK and sending hugs :)p and please keep us updated.

she does go outside almost everyday, and i always check the grass they're on for buttercups, i even weeded some out today
the vet has seen her and can't find anything specific to be causing the problem so she's been given some metacam and batril and a recovery liquid diet to restore her energy.
I'm taking her back tomorrow for an x-ray if she doesn't get better through the night.
I hate seeing her like this :(

she is pooping, they're a bit too moist though. and she did a normal wee. she's staying away from the other two for tonight so i can keep an eye on her poo and wee.

poor little sausage. I take it you won't be coming to Brid tomorrow if she is still poorly.

Maybe she will make a miraculous recovery overnight and be fine in the morning. Fingers crossed. That's what happened to Lexi, the vet had almost given up on her and she just decided to start eating and pooping again. Maybe Grumpy Pumpy is just having an off day.

Poor thing, I hope she gets better soon. Maybe best to weigh her for a few days keep an eye on her weight. Hope everything goes ok.

I very much hope so. I'm making her some mashed carrot so she gets her vit C. and i'll be keeping a close eye on her weight.

I'm off to bed. Text me in the morning to let me know how she is doing. If it's between 10:30 and 12 don't be surprised if I don't answer cuz I'll be at church. Her cousins send lots of healing wheaks and meows.

I hope she starts to feel better soon. You did the right thing getting her straight to the vet hopefully the meds will perk her up.

How was the weather when you took her out? They sometimes behave in that way when they got a heatstroke.

Hope everything is fine with her though!

Thank you to those who posted.
Pumpkin passed away a few hours after returning from the vets. She very rapidly deteriorated and died in my arms. At least i know i did everything i could for her. There is a tribute to her in Rainbow Bridge pets.

So sorry to hear about that :( rest in peace, little one.
